
Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): The Village Council Yoruba today appealed the law enforcement agency to take necessary action against the person, who allegedly assaulted one of its villagers Pothitha Phesa-o on March 3. The council in a press statement said that the assailants allegedly assaulted Pothitha and his team while they were doing ‘developmental works” at his site and seized the land deed (Patta) from him besides threatening him.
A FIR was lodged in West Police Station, Dimapur against the culprit the same day, it said adding that while the police has retrieved the land Patta, no arrest have been made so far. The Council is issuing this statement so that no “unwarranted interference be made in the stated case by the accused,” it said requesting the law enforcement agency to take necessary action against the perpetrator within 5 days from the issue of the press statement.
It shall not be responsible for any untoward incident afterwards, said the statement appended by the Council Chairman & Head GB Müdihi Lohe and President Yoruba Youth Association, Razuseyi Khüshoh.
