
ADCP Dimapur issues traffic advisory
Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur, on Sunday issued a traffic advisory for all colony/village permit vehicles to be followed along the wholesale market at GS Road Dimapur, which will be open from will open from 3:00 am to 8:00 am. The entry point for vehicular movement will be from Army Supply Junction and Dhobinalla point and exit point from MP Road and Railway
Advisory on telecom infrastructure maintenance
Kohima, April 5 (MExN): Department of Information Technology and Communication on 4th April 2020 has issued an advisory to all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) to co-ordinate with the District Administration/Police and local authorities at the District and village levels before visiting telecom sites for maintenance and monitoring activities so as to avoid any unpleasant/untoward incident.
AIACO Nagaland calls for judicious usage of funds
Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): Stating that the Government of Nagaland has received Rs 330,44,7000 crore as first installment for the financial year of 2019-20 under MGNREGA, AIACO Nagaland Chapter has called for its judicious utilization. The All India Anti Corruption Organization (AIACO) appeals the State Government of Nagaland to judiciously utilize the funds for the rural poor as per the guidelines of the Government of India, stated a press release from the organization Chairman S Richard Humtsoe.
DC Mon notifies on permits for movement
Mon, April 5 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS notified that in the interest of public health and safety and with an aim to prevent and contain spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the following directives are issued: ‘Public Movement Permit' will be issued for each Household under Mon Town; only one person from a household will be permitted to go out for purchase of essential commodities, medicines and visit ATM only on the production of this permit in original; Shopkeepers shall sell the essential commodities to customers only on the production of this permit in original; this permit will not be issued to home quarantine households until completion of the quarantine period.
DBPF appeals
Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): The Dimapur Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (DBPF) President, Rev Vitoshe Swu on behalf of the Fellowship has made an appeal stating “when we are being impaired with conducting regular congregational worship services everyone must not forget that we are all individually the temple of God.” Rev swu said that as Christendom enters into the Passion Week in a few days, “let us all reflect upon the triumphal entry of our Lord Jesus into Jerusalem, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection prayerfully in our house worship.” The President also encourages every believer to be considerate with our neighbors who might be in need during this time.
DRSU urges public to follow orders
Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): The Dimapur Rengma Students' Union on Saturday issued a press release urging the public to follow the orders issued by the government and also to avail the facilities provided by different organizations through proper channel. It appreciated the central and state government for its efforts in containing the COVID 19 pandemic and suggested that proper strategies be put in place for implementation once the lockdown is lifted. The Union also condemned the alleged assault on Dr Nosezol Sezo on April 3 and appealed the concerned authority to take necessary action as per the law.
NCA donates Rs 5 lakh towards CMRF
Kohima, April 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) extended its support to the state government in its fight against COVID-19 pandemic by contributing Rs. 5 lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund. “This decision was taken to strengthen and encourage the fight against COVID-19 and for well being and safety of the citizens of the country,” said NCA Hon. secretary Hyunilo Anilo Khing. He stated that the COVID-19 pandemic marks an unprecedented moment in modem history that will require the best of humanity to collectively overcome it.
NPF offers condolences
Kohima, April 5 (MExN): The Naga People's Front has mourned the demise of Moalungsunep, Secretary, NPF Central Youth Wing, who passed away on April 3 in Dimapur. “Late Moalungsunep is an honest and young upcoming party leader who tirelessly worked and contributed his best of ability for the upliftment of the party in general and Youth Wing in particular,” a condolence message from NPF President Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu stated. Moalungsunep is also the younger brother of Wangshikokla Jamir, General Secretary, NPF Central Women Wing. “His demise is a great loss to the NPF and the vacuum created by him will be difficult to replace and the party will always remembered his contribution towards the party,” the message read. The party President, on behalf of the party rank and file, conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty to grant solace to all his near and dear ones.
