A young boy returns home after receiving the essential food items distributed by the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) in Mokokchung town covering all the 18 wards under Mokokchung municipality on April 2. The essential commodities such as rice, lentils and flour were distributed to about 1800 needy households in the town, informed a press release issued by MTLT President Imkummeren Jamir. The essential supplies were distributed to genuine needy people by the respective youth organizations and authorities of the 18 wards.
MLA Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd), Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs visited CHC Medziphema on April 4 to inspect the preparedness for COVID-19. Volunteers and personnel from 12 IRB on duty along the Assam- Nagaland sealed border on April 4. ADC Bhandari, Tiameren Chang through an order issued on April 4 had directed that the Assam- Nagaland border stretch under Bhandari sub-division shall remain totally sealed entry or exit from any routes including footpaths until further order. The order further stated that punitive punishment shall be taken against any person violating the same order. Directive was also issued to the Village Councils in the inter-state border area villages, to strictly monitor movement of people and to extend fullest cooperation to the district administration and to the police for effective implementation of the order.
