COVID-19 vaccination at 12 sites in Wokha

Wokha, January 13 (MExN): Wokha district has identified 12 session sites for 1533 health workers in the district for COVID-19 vaccination drive. Informing this, Dr Khelito Zhimomi DIO (RCH/UIP) requested the District Task Force (DTF) for logistic support during vaccination and the Social Welfare Department to appoint staffs as vaccination officer at session sites as well as mobilize the anganwadis for vaccination.

Attending the DTFI meeting for COVID-19 vaccine convened at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall Wokha on January 13, she informed the members on the dateline for uploading frontline workers data in the co-win application as January 25 for the next phase.  

The meeting was chaired by DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, who called upon the members to be prepared for the COVID-19 vaccine launch in the district along with the rest of the country on January 16. All the magistrates and Block Task Force will be actively involved during the Covid-19 vaccine roll out, he added. 

Wokha SP Imtitoshi informed that around 522 police personnel will provide security at session sites and assured full support from the police department. During the meeting, Tiyi hall was selected as session site for UPHC Wokha town beneficiaries and the launching programme to be held at District Hospital Wokha on January 16.

The CMO office Wokha in a press release stated that the meeting was attended by Wokha CMO, Dy CMO, medical staffs and officials from line department.
