DC Kiphire and team review preparedness of Pungro sub-div

Kiphire, April 18 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav IAS and her team visited Pungro on April 18 to review the preparedness of the Pungro sub-division against the pandemic Corona Virus (COVID-19). 


In a brief interacting with the hospital authority, Sarita inquired on the needs and requirement and said that the Government will continue to provide all possible support and help for mitigation and control the disease. She also appealed to all the Doctors, nurse and staffs to be prepared and stay ready. 


ADC Pungro Abhinav Shivam IAS and other officials accompanied DC during the visit of CHC where eight isolation wards have been prepared, and Rest House prepared as quarantine for accommodation upto 20 persons.

 

District Task force (COVID-19) meeting held 

Earlier, the District Task force (COVID-19) held was meeting on April 16, at the DPDB hall, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & chairperson (DTF) Kiphire Sarita Yadav IAS.


During the meeting, CMO Kiphire reported that so far 690 persons have been screened where 288 were home quarantined, out of which, 158 persons have finished home quarantine. He said that one portable Ventilator has been installed at COVID hospital and 38 beds have been prepared, and can be accommodated upto 50 beds.


“1750 FFpi mask including other essential equipment has been received so far. Four Quarantine wards have been prepared ie DUDA girls hostel equipped with 13 beds,18 beds prepared for medical staffs at IRB camp, ZPC boys hostel preparation about to complete in a day or two and Hopongkiu memorial hall has also been identified for quarantine,” CMO Kiphire reported.


The Police department reported that so far, law and order situation in the District is peaceful. On shopping days, active interventions are being taken so that social distancing and wearing mask were strictly maintained. As per ADS, the food grains are being supplied to the public smoothly. Around 706 bags are said are available in stock at present, and around six truckloads to be arrived shortly.


DC Sarita Yadav said that agricultural activities are going on in a proper manner. Firewood carrier vehicles were directed to go as per the given guidelines. Interstate and inter district Movement of the general public has been banned except for medical reasons. Plying of taxi, social gathering and religious gathering has also banned. And therefore she called out for strict compliance. In the cases of funeral, gathering of people had been limited to 20 people. The police department has been directed to restrict incoming of people from outside the District.


The Deputy Commissioner and DTF members also attended the Video Conference at NIC chamber.
