DIMAPUR, MAY 25 (MExN): The Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) today questioned the “delay” in installing the Bio Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory in Dimapur.
A press release from the DDGBA expressed apprehension that “because of this delay and lackadaisical attitude, we never know how much the threat are going undetected and are let loose and as a result people are being exposed to this impeding and imminent danger.”
The government needs to address this issue at the earliest and without any further delay, it urged.
The DDGBA also expressed dissatisfaction at the government’s handling of stranded citizens.
“Because of the poor functioning of the apps and website created for the stranded people, many are still unaware or unable to avail the financial assistance that is being provided by the government,” it claimed.
It asked the government to initiate more exigency programmes, besides the Rs 10,000 one time grant to help those who decided to stay back.
