Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): The Blood Centre of District Hospital Dimapur and ICFAI University Nagaland on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote and encourage voluntary blood donation and contribute towards "Saving Lives through Voluntary Blood Donation".
The MoU was signed by Dr Rongsenmar Lkr, Medical Officer, Blood Centre, District Hospital Dimapur, and Dr Rupanka Bhuyan, Registrar, ICFAI University Nagaland, in the presence of officials from both organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rongsenmar emphasised the need to promote voluntary blood donation drives across Nagaland and create greater public awareness about the importance of regular blood donation.
Dr Bhuyan described voluntary blood donation as a noble form of social service and said the university looked forward to contributing to the cause through the collaboration.
The MoU is aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and encouraging greater community participation in voluntary blood donation, thereby contributing to the availability of safe blood for people in need.
