Durga Puja greetings extended

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): NPF Minority Wing has extended Durga Puja and Navaratri greetings to Hindus of Nagaland and neighbouring area. Durga Puja is not only a festival, but a major socio-cultural event celebrated in all corners of India and abroad with great enthusiasm, solidarity and gaiety, said a press release from NPF Minority Wing Central president, Bishnu Bhattacharjee. “May this kind of celebrations bring greater peace and happiness to one and all, and strengthen the prevailing social and cultural harmony in our state and the nation,” it added.   Meanwhile, Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Tovihoto Ayemi also extended greetings to the Hindu community of the State, particularly Dimapur. “Durga Puja being the symbol of the victory of good over evil thus generating an atmosphere of joy, may this festival be truly translated into the promotion of peace, love, harmony and common brotherhood amongst people of different communities,” he wished. Tovihoto conveyed best wishes for the success of the festival.
