Man-made disaster or a natural calamity?
The sudden change of weather or freak weather as some quote it, I say we make it happen because nature has provided everything for us, only it took us millions of years to discover their usage and importance in our daily lives yet again in order to improve or to better the quality of what has been discovered. We are destroying the very source that is providing for us because everything, be it medicine, energy, technology all come from within mother earth, nature or Gods gift to mankind. Everything is a cycle in nature so also human, dust to dust, ashes to ashes is how I say that we made it possible. The thoughtless destruction of rain forest/natural in and around the world today in the name of advancement has triggered the ecological imbalance. Science say that it is due to a hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica region but what made a hole in the first place, it is direct/indirectly science again. The discovery of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) which is found in aerosols, Styrofoam, in refrigerators and air conditioners which again are in daily usage.
This harmful chemicals used by men, called Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are destroying the ozone layer, which protects life on earth from direct exposure to the sun’s ultra violet rays (UV rays) which is harmful to eyes and skin and also vegetations. They retard the growth of plants by affecting their photosynthesis. CFCs once released in the atmosphere, rise and settle in the Ozone layer. Ultra Violet radiation from the sun breaks the CFCs into smaller chemicals releasing the chlorine, which in return destroys the ozone layer. Once released into the environment CFCs can last from 100 to 2300 years. CFCs can cause the heating up of the earth’s environment 25, 000 times faster than carbon dioxide, which is called Global Warming or the Green House Effect. Scientists’ claims that ice is melting in the Antarctica region, rise in temperature may affect or threaten the sea lives, also the sea level may rise beyond proportion threatening our very lives.
Nature has given us what it had to give us, now it is up to us to either preserve it or destroy it along with us.
Let us wake up and take notice of these happenings before it destroys us all, and try to preserve our mother nature and be aware of all such harmful chemicals, which may destroy our environment and lives. Let us take up to Green Revolution, plant more trees, and use eco-friendly products. This way we might also contribute something towards Mother Nature that has provided everything for us. Help save Mother Earth from Extinction.
