Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The Eagle Crest Training Academy and Consultancy (ECTAAC), Kohima Centre was inaugurated on October 7 at Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK). The programme was organised by ECTAAC in collaboration with Don Bosco College, Kohima, which marked the continuation of the collaboration between ECTAAC and DBCK, with a focus on student development, skill-building and employment opportunities.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Tious Varghese, Principal, DBCK, in his address, highlighted the importance of creating meaningful opportunities that prepare students for the future and complement their academic journey.
Delivering keynote address, Temjenkala Aier, CEO, ECTAAC, stated that the aim of ECTAAC is not merely to train or providing job placement, it is about creating a bridge between education and employment.
ECTAAC envisions conducting placement drives, bringing companies from across the country to the campus, and building a larger educator-to-employment ecosystem that benefits not just the college but the entire community.
Recalling the association between ECTAAC and DBCK since 2021, Aier stressed that through this collaboration, it aim to bring career-oriented training, employability skills, industry linkages and dynamic placement opportunities closer to the students of Don Bosco College and the youth around the town.
Aier also stated that community support truly meaningful when the community embraces the opportunities created for young people. She urged the gathering that when educational institutions, government, community and youth organisations come together, a stronger ecosystem of employment and entrepreneurship can be created.
ECTAAC team also briefed the gathering on the different courses offered and their objectives. The programme was chaired by Juniper Phom while Kewale Wozah, Assistant Professor, Don Bosco College, Kohima invoked God’s blessings. Vote of thanks was proposed by ECTAAC representative.
The programme concluded with an interactive session with parents and students.
