Peren: Election Observer Dr. Manjit Singh IAS visited Peren on 29th March 2014 and had an interaction with the Deputy Commissioner & ARO, Senior SP and other officials of Peren district at the DC’s office chamber. He was on a visit for monitoring election preparedness in the district, and to ensure that the ensuing 16th Lok Sabha election was free and fair.
He reviewed various stages of election preparedness, including micro observer and central para military forces in the district and also visited four polling stations including two model polling stations with the DC and other officials. Earlier, Senior SP Peren briefed the Observer about the security scenario in the district which was reported to be peaceful and under control.
