
Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU), stating that it has been monitoring the welfare of Eastern students in Kohima and Dimapur, the Union said “not a single Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union from outside state have received any relief fund from the state Government” and appealed to the state Government to look into the matter.
The ENCSU urged the State Government to release financial aid to the stranded Eastern students from outside Nagaland and some effected students in Nagaland.
It also requested the Government to provide special travel passage on vehicular movement for those stranded students to reach their respective homes.
The ENCSU further appealed to the state Government to immediately set up all necessary equipment and materials at the Eastern areas Hospital Covid-19 centres.
Meanwhile, the Union has expressed gratitude to the State Chief Secretary for announcing his assistance to the stranded students during the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
The ENCSU also appreciated the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima and his administrative staff, NSDMA, AYO, NPP Nagaland State, DENSU and the all individuals who have contributed to the stranded Eastern students in particular and the Nagas in general by providing relief during the nation-wide lock down.
