Fight against COVID-19 with one voice, one action: NSCN (IM)

DIMAPUR, APRIL 7 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today called upon all sections to jointly fight with one voice and one action against the COVID-19 pandemic in solidarity with the rest of the world.

“Leave aside petty politics,” a press release from the MIP, NSCN (IM) stated, pointing out that the world is in turmoil as people infected with COVID-19 keeps increasing and the death toll climbing.

“India is no exception. Nagaland state till now has not tested any single person positive. Nevertheless, there is no chance for laxity but to stand by lockdown rules. The fight against Covid-19 is going on in warlike manner all over India. There is no other option lest we open the door for the contagious virus to play hell among us,” it added.

Doctors, nurses and medical personnel are going through a horrendous time, leading from the front putting their lives at heavy risk, the NSCN (IM) recognised.

“Let us continue to uphold them in our prayer. They are the brave real fighters living up to their medical ethics that patients are the priority. May God give them the strength- physically and spiritually, to carry on their profession un-hindered,” it said
Notwithstanding the hardships in the face of the lockdown, the NSCN (IM) said that the fight against COVID-19 must continue vigorously till we are free from the danger. “Let us, therefore, stand in solidarity with the government order to obey the guided preventive measures being updated every now and then,” it appealed.

“We should be prepared for the worst, depending on the situation even after the ongoing lockdown period is over because it is a matter of life and death,” it added.

“But, above everything let us renew our faith in God and fight the good fight with Him as our sustainer and protector,” the NSCN (IM) affirmed.
