The State Government has announced financial assistance of Rs. 25000 to registered home delivery companies transporting essential commodities during the lockdown, in order to promote the sector.
Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has announced financial assistance to young entrepreneurs, home delivery and e-commerce companies that are transporting essential commodities to citizens during the lockdown in the state.
A DIPR report stated that the Government has announced financial assistance of Rs. 25000 to registered home delivery companies transporting essential commodities during the lockdown, in order to promote this sector. The scheme is being implemented through the District Administration, and anyone interested may approach the respective Deputy Commissioner who would get the details, and after due verification, forward it to the Government for consideration, it said.
With regard to the assistance in the form of cash grants to any person from Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, the report stated that a total of 9,800 applicants have been verified and an amount of Rs. 1.63 crore has been disbursed through direct bank transfer to the accounts of 4,159 applicants as on April 24.
