Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): Two fire incidents were reported from Mon and Tuli on Friday, April 10.


In the first incident, a fire was reported at Lempong Sheanghah Village, Mon at around 3:20 pm.  Fire & Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from the Fire Station Mon. However due to distance stretch of 13 km from Mon town to the place of incident, timely intervention could not be done. Yet on reaching the scene fire personnel managed to put fire under control in a fast manner. A granary along with four rooms was completely burnt down. 


Two persons received minor burn injuries and were taken to the Army Base Clinic at Lempong Sheanghah. The cause of fire is suspected to be from a short circuit. The response team was led by OC, Soyhunlo Kent and Duty Commander, SI Thenuosielie Pielie.


Meanwhile, in Tuli, a fire was reported at a coal depot in the 10th Mile area at around 5:36pm on the same day. A quick response team from Fire Station Tuli which managed to bring the blaze under control and prevented it from further spreading to the adjoining areas. No casualty was reported. The response team was led by OC, Kingdongse Thonger and Duty Commander, SI Asangba K Chang.
