‘Mechanisms are in place to open more health care facilities’: Minister Kaito

Nagaland Minister for Agriculture and Co-operation, G Kaito Aye a 'long awaited' Health Sub-Centre at Xuivi village under Zunheboto district on Monday.
The Sub-Centre was dedicated with a prayer by Xuivi Baptist Church Pastor, Inavi Tuccu.
Speaking during the inauguration, Minister Kaito said that, “The centre will provide the most needed care and emergency medical aid to the people.”
He said that the government was aware of the need to improve basic health care in every part of the state, for which mechanisms are in place to open more health care facilities that will cater to the needs of the populace.
On behalf of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Zunheboto Chief Medical Officer Dr Akaho Sema apprised the gathering on the services available at the Sub-Centre. He called on the village community to utilise the services judiciously.
Dr Akaho also emphasized on community participation in ensuring implementation of health programmes, proper functioning of the Sub-Centre and encouraged the villagers to take active part in maintaining the new facility.
He further acknowledged the Minister for taking initiative in setting up a Sub-Centre at Xuivi village.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Akukau (GB) Phoishe Zhimomi and welcome address was delivered by Akukatou (Head GB) Toshiho Naga.
