Phek, December 21 (MExN): Pfutseromi Village Council (PVC) conducted a programme for laying of foundation for community grave yard at Pfutseromi village under Phek district on December 21 with Vekhrolo Koza, BDO, RD Block Pfutsero as the special guest.

Koza unveiled the monolith at the community grave yard site while Rev Dr Kenny Kapfo, President, Mission International India acted as minister for dedication of the same. 

In his speech, Rev Dr Kenny Kapfo cited Romans 14:8 and said that “if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord, so whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” He also acknowledged the Village Council and leaders for bringing such a project for the welfare of the community. He also cited that this is the place where epitaph will testify the person and glorify the Lord and a message to the future generation. 

Vekhrolo Koza said that the village had given great importance to community assets and as such Pfutseromi Village is one among the areas who has come up with such development. Common grave yard is one such example, he said, adding that this will be a place where rest is assured and sanctified.  

The programme was led by Kedounyi Medo, Secretary, Village Council Pfutseromi.  Zekozo Mero, VDB Secretary, Pfutseromi gave a brief report of the site. Wepretso Mero, (Rtd), Commissioner Secretary  & Chairman, Quality Control Board, Government of Nagaland also delivered a short speech. Vote of thanks was proposed by M Mero, Chairman, Pfutseromi Village Council.
