Kohima, April 23 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, launched the free ration distribution program under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana at Naga Hospital Colony on April 23.
Under the free ration program rice will be distributed for free to poor families in Naga Hospital colony through the fair price shop located in the colony. 5kg of rice for each member of the family will be distributed to the impoverished families each month under the scheme. The scheme is a live saver for many families struggling to make ends meet during the lockdown period as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. However the scheme can be availed only by AAY and PHH ration card holders.
Dimapur: The 1st phase of distribution of foodgrains (1 month) under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) Scheme for PHH Ration Card holders has begun from 23rd April 2020 in the respective Fair Price Shops or through Village Councils.
DC Dimapur has informed that the distribution of the foodgrains would be done on the basis of 5kg per beneficiary per month free of cost under PMGKAY Scheme.
Wokha: Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha while launching the Pradhan Matri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, under department of Food & Civil Supply free ration for AAY & PHH ration card holders urged all fair price shops both urban and rural for fair distribution of the rice and ensured that all beneficiaries get their due share. The formal launching was held on April 23 at Town Hall, Wokha.
