Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The GB Union Dimapur (Sadar) on Tuesday issued a set of guidelines for the GBs to be followed during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
In a press release, the Union notified that no GBs should charge fees for issuing authorization letter for shopkeepers to procure essential commodities from the market. No authorization letter for procurement of essential commodities should be issued to an individual, it added.
Requesting GBs to exercise their duties diligently within their own colony vicinity, the Union also notified that only government appointed GBs are allowed to issue authorization with their appointment registration number on the writing pad.
GBs should immediately inform the Union if any unauthorized persons, apart from colony council authorities, are issuing authorization letters.
GBs are to work in coordination with the colony council for smooth functioning of the colony affairs.
If any GB is found violating the guidelines; action shall be initiated against the defaulter, the release stated.
