Jalukie (MExN): The Women Welfare Society Jalukie Town (WWSJT) and the Heraka Council have resolved the misunderstanding between the two, which arose out of the alleged forceful entry of WWSJT activists into a Herakan Temple. At the joint meeting held at the residence of Dising, a JTC Member, the two parties decided to resolve the conflict and work for the welfare of the people.

The two sides also agreed not to issue any statement in the press against each other on the said issue. It may be mentioned here that the members of WWSJT allegedly entered the “Kelumki” (temple) of the Herakans at Jalukie while on frisking and checking drive against alcohol and wine as part of its total prohibition initiative, which raised the heckles of the Heraka Community.

After both the sides settled the issue at the meeting, the WWSJT President clarified that they entered the Kelumki (Temple) after seeking permission from the Ward representative and care taker and did not resort to any forceful or disrespectful action. Paipui “Priest of the Kelumki” reportedly also admitted the version of the WWSJT. The WWSJT also consented to the Herakans using wine (Local brew) for their consumption and religious purposes, except for business.
