DIMAPUR, AUGUST 26 (MExN): Nagaland State Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum along with department officials recently inspected the ongoing construction of Nagaland Guest House at Dwarka, New Delhi.

During the inspection, the team interacted with M/s Ansari & co, who is constructing Dwarka phase-1 type I, II, IV and V buildings in the complex. A press release from the Minister’s press secretary informed that the firm agreed to complete the type I & II buildings by September 2019.

The Minister also interacted with M/s Gupta Bros (India), who is overlooking the construction of Dwarka phase-ll, type–III buildings. They have also agreed to complete the electrical sub- station, main LT panel, external fire fighting, external electrical cabling, external lighting, sewage disposal, storm water drain and campus development within 105 days after the undertaking.

“Completion of these eight items were necessitated in order to get the permission from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for partial occupation of type I & II buildings right after completion,” it was informed.

The press release meanwhile said that the state department had received a letter on May 8, 2019 from the Delhi Jal Board for payment of infrastructure charges for water and sewage connection amounting to Rs 1,69,03,668 to be paid on or before September 8.

However, the Nagaland PWD (Housing & Mechanical), for want of fund, could not make the said payment till date. Failure to do so would make the target for occupying the Type I & II building of Nagaland Guest house Dwarka, New Delhi a “distant dream,” the press release noted.

“However, keeping in mind the importance of completing the ongoing project, which will not only assist the Nagas who visit the capital for medical care and admissions but also generate revenue for the state, the department is planning to take over partially for type I, II & II A for staff quarters and rental building at Dwarka within this financial year, provided the Delhi Development Authority agree to the departments' proposal,” it informed.
