Hundreds of people staging protest against the plan of the state government to shift two posts of the 3rd Indian Reserved Battalion (IRB) located at Aimol Ngairong and Molnom village in the newly created Tengnoupal district of Manipur today. Most of the protestors were local residents of Aimol Ngairong, Aimol Khullen, Aimol Chandonpokpi, Aimol Khudamphai and Aimol Tampak. The protestors blocked the road linked between Aimol Tampak and Aimol Ngairong village. The protestors held placards some of which read: “We want IRB, they protect us”, “We don’t want Police or VDF or other security forces”.
