DIMAPUR, APRIL 17 (MExN): The Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) today condemned the alleged assault on a dentist by Nagaland Police personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) in Wokha on the morning of April 17.
A press release from the IDANSB President, Dr KaketoYepthomi said that on Dr MongshithungMurry was assaulted when he was out to purchase essential commodities for his family.
“Despite earnest appeal to the police personnel even after producing his proof of identification as a medical professional, was brutally assaulted to the point of destroying the police baton on the victim’s head leading to massive injury and intense trauma,” the IDANSB said. The association condemned the incident and demanded that the concerned authorities take action at the earliest.
