IGNOU informs on convocation & scholarship

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The 22nd Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University is scheduled to be held in the month of February/March 2011. IGNOU Regional Director Dr. T. Iralu has informed in a press note that the University have dispatched letter of consent for attending the convocation to all candidates declared to have passed University programmes in December 2009/June 2010 Term End Exam to their respective postal address. Altogether, 230 candidates are eligible to receive the Degree/Diploma at this convocation from Kohima Regional Centre. In this regard, all qualified candidates, who have not received the letter of consent, are asked to contact the Regional Centre for online submission on or before February 10, 2011. Application received thereafter shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
Also, in line with the decision of the Government of Nagaland to disburse the scholarship through the students bank account, all IGNOU students who have applied for PMCS for session 2010-11 are asked to open their normal or ‘no frill’, ‘nil balance’ account in any of the nationalized bank and submit the following details to the Regional Centre Kohima on or before February 15. The mentioned details can be submitted in person at the Regional Centre or mailed to the Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Near Mt. Hermon School, DBS Road Kohima-797001, Nagaland or fax it to 0370-2260216 or e-mail at rd_kohima@rediffmail.com : Name of the Student, Enrollment No. and Programme; Bank Account Number;  Name of the Bank with proper address; Code No. of the Bank for SBI / Indian Financial System (IFS) Code of the bank for other bank and Name of the town & District of the bank.
The note also added it has been observed that, those who have submitted their account number during the submission of their PMCS forms were incomplete. Therefore, all the students are asked to re-submit the mentioned information.
