Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): A reshuffle of the executive body of Karbi Anglong Nepali Students’ Union (KANSU), Borlengri Block-II branch was done on December 27, with its former President Bikash Thapa as chairperson.
According to a press release received here on Wednesday, a prolonged discussion session was held where the house resolved to select a new body led by Biku Khatri Chetri as President and Manoj Karki as General Secretary.
Oath taking ceremony was administered by Tilak Rizal, Advisor (KANSU) Central Committee, in the presence of Jai Kumar Rai, General Secretary of the Nepali Literacy and Cultural Forum and a host of other dignitaries of the central committee.
The event also witnessed motivational speeches by Dhruba Rimal, President, NSP KArbi Anglong Committee and Lal Bin Chetri, President, NSP Bokajan Regional Committee, according to the release.
A new edition of ‘Naulo Jagran’ written by Puspa Shrestha and published by Lal Bin Chetri was also launched by Tilak Rizal, it added.
It was also resolved that the new executive meeting would be held by mid-January 2021, the release stated.
