KMC supply water free of cost to Kohima denizens

In order to mitigate water shortage problem during the lockdown period, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today started the process of distribution of water free of cost to the denizens within its jurisdiction.
Through this, the KMC provided Syntex water tanks of 2000 liters capacity to each of the colonies to facilitate the supply of water as far as possible on a daily basis, if not on alternate days.
The target group shall be the daily wage earners and the poorest of the poor, according to KMC administrator Kovi Meyase.
The KMC called for the distribution of water in a systematic manner to avoid chaotic scenes.
It also called for strict maintenance of social distancing.
