
Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School (LFHSS) Dimapur has been officially approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International) to offer its world-leading Cambridge Pathway curriculum to students aged 5 to 19.
This makes LFHSS the first school in Nagaland and the third in North east region to offer Cambridge programmes and qualifications.
The inauguration of Cambridge International at LFHSS was done on March 14 in a formal programme attended by Regional Director, South Asia, Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International) Ruchira Ghosh and Satyajit Sarkar, Manager- East India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Ghosh said that Cambridge International was pleased to be associated with a progressive institution like the LFHSS. She stated that together Cambridge International and LFHSS share a common vision of helping students become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged, so that they are ready to thrive in the ever-changing world.
A press release received here, stated the school will be offering the Cambridge Pathway from age 5 to 19 which helps give students a love of learning that will stay with them through school, university and beyond. She expressed hope to work closely with the school to give their teachers and students all the support they need to succeed with Cambridge programmes.
Dr Andrew Ahoto, Chairman, LFHSS mentioned that it was a matter of great pride for LFHSS to be associated with Cambridge International. He said that LFHSS was committed to building a happy school and helping every child dream big and excel holistically. He also expressed that Cambridge International’s unique approach allows students to take charge of their learning and supports all learners to fulfill their potential.
The Cambridge Curriculum will be initially started for Grade-VIII and below for developing the concept based approach and active learning which blends very well with both national as well as international education systems, the release added.
This will ensure that a strong foundation based on an International Pedagogy will help the students’ learning aptitude and help them in identifying with the international community. After Grade-VIII, the school will run parallel curriculums of both CBSE and Cambridge International from Grade-IX and above in two separate campuses for the benefit of the varied preferences of the students.
