Students and staff of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School distributing hampers and snacks to traffic personnel on duty in Dimapur Traffic Zone-1 and Zone-2.
Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The management, staff and students of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School distributed hampers and snacks to traffic personnel on duty in Dimapur Traffic Zone-1 and Zone-2 as part of their Community Service mission undertaken since 2017.   The School informed in a press release that the students and staff of LFHSS were divided into two teams for both Zone-I (Dimapur City Area) and Zone-II (East Dimapur and Chumukedima Area) and interacted with more than 100 traffic policemen on duty and acknowledged them for their duty and service.   The students also interacted with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Yanithung Ezung, NPS and the Officer In-Charge (OC) of Dimapur Traffic Police, Zone-II, Peter Shuya, NPS. ABSI Lipenthung and ABSI Bokato interacted with the team of students on behalf of the Officer In-Charge (OC) of Dimapur Traffic Police, Zone-I, L. Mhathung Patton, NPS. The officials were also presented with specially made framed memorabilia as a token of gratitude.   During the interaction, DCP (Traffic) lamented that despite the hard work and dedication of the traffic personnel on duty, they do not get much cooperation from the general public. “Many of them drive their vehicles without being least concerned about the Traffic Rules and Regulations,” he added while expressing the expectation for positive and constructive cooperation from the public for a streamlined Traffic System in Dimapur.   Peter Shuya, OC (T) Zone-II advised the students to be more aware of Traffic Rules and to follow them diligently. He gifted the team from LFHSS with specially designed key-chains bearing the Dimapur Traffic Police insignia.
