WOKHA, September 26 (MExN): The Lotha Students' Union (LSU) has released its 2024 Statistical Report, revealing alarming unemployment rates among the educated members of the Lotha community. According to the report, a total of 5,053 graduates, postgraduates, and doctorates remain unemployed within the LSU's constituent units. The data shows that of the total unemployed, 3,773 are graduates, 1,233 are postgraduates, and 57 hold doctoral degrees.

The report highlights that 52.48% of the unemployed are male, while females account for 47.51% of the educated unemployed population. LSU President Lirhonthung E. Kithan emphasized the importance of the report in providing a clear overview of the community's educational status. However, the LSU cautioned that the numbers could be higher, as the data excludes unaffiliated units. The LSU has called for concerted efforts to address unemployment and urged stakeholders to create more job opportunities for the educated youth of the Lotha community.
