Relief materials provided by Minister V Kashiho Sangtam at Kiphire town.
Kiphire, April 26 (MExN): In order to mitigate the problems faced by the electorate of his constituency 59 Seyochung-Sitimi, Minister for & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining V Kashiho Sangtam donated essential commodities to 800 households on April 23.
A press release from the General Secretary, BJP Kiphire stated that the Minister donated 80 bags of rice, 800 Kgs of Dal, 800 bottles of M. Oil as well as Hand Sanitizers to 800. The initiative has impacted hundreds of daily wage earners, labourers and rural poor of the society who have been hit hard by the lockdown which has been in force for almost a month now, the release stated.
BJP Kiphire lauded the Minister for personally supervising the situation and providing relief assistance, thus ensuring that the most vulnerable section of the society is not affected by the lockdown.
Further, BJP Kiphire appealed to the public of Kiphire to stay indoors, maintain social distancing, avoid unnecessary travel and take good care of the elderly in the true spirit of humanity. The government, District Administration, Police and all frontline workers are putting all efforts in trying to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19, it added.
