Mkg legislators inspect interstate check gate, COVID 19 hospitals

Mokokchung, April 25 (MExN): Minister for Housing and Mechanical Tongpang Ozukum and Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba visited Tsutapela Interstate Check Gate and designate COVID 19 hospitals in Mokokchung district on April 23. The legislators also inspected the interstate check gate bordering Assam in Tuli sub division.
According to a press release from the Minister’s PS, following the inspections, the Minister shared the importance of sanitizing vehicles at the check gate and why it should be continued as preventive measures for the general concern of all. He also asked all the frontline workers, especially healthcare service personnel to wear protective kits not only for public awareness, but for their own safety.
The release also stated that during the tour, the Minister witnessed “some minor loopholes first hand which will be detrimental for the frontline workers and will apprise the concerned authorities.”
Acknowledging the support from all sections of the society, the Minister appealed to all the villagers living in the border areas to shoulder the responsibility and do their part as the police personnel cannot monitor the entire border belt alone, it said.
Earlier in the day, the Minister inspected the designated quarantine centres at Impur and the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, which is the designated COVID-19 Hospital for Mokokchung district. He was accompanied by DC Mokokchung, SP and Addl SP Mokokchung, CMO and other officials, the release stated.
