MON, NOVEMBER 11 (MExN): Mon district police emerged as the overall champion at the 6th Inter-Departmental Tournament, Mon 2017 which concluded on November 10. Mon district administration finished as the runners-up.
Manlip Konyak, president, Konyak Union was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. In his address, Konyak lauded the government officials and staffers posted in the district for attending to their assigned duties, while he expressed hope that they would continue working in the same spirit in the days to come. The tournament, he said could well turn out to be memorable for them following a transfer or retirement. He further wished that the tournament continue in the same spirit, which while being a being a healthy medium for physical work outs also acts as a breather from the rigours of daily work.
