Mopong Hongkong range CSOs discuss economic activities

MLA EE Pangteang Konyak and Yanithung N Ngullie donated masks, hand sanitizer, soap, cash amount and rice as a social responsibility to combat the unprecedented pandemic Covid-19 in Mopong Hongkong area under Mon district. Mopong Hongkong Students Union (MHSU) also informed in a press release that all the villages have constructed facilities for quarantine and appreciated the preventive measures taken within its own jurisdiction fighting against unseen epidemic.
Mon, April 13 (MExN): A meeting between the Mopong Hongkong Students Union (MHSU), Konyak Union Mopong Unit, village councils and other civil society organizations was held at Mopong Headquarter on April 13 to discuss pertinent matters related to economic activities in the range during the lockdown period.
A release issued by MHSU President L Kholee and Secretary A Moba Konyak secretary informed of the resolutions taken during the meeting.
Accordingly, it was resolved that all routes and services connecting via Tobu, Longleng and Mon entering the range will remain restricted and even the transportation carrying essential commodities unless certified/sanitized to be consumables.
The rate of existing commodities at stock in the shop should be sold at the profitable price not exceeding Rs. 4 from the whole sale rate. Failing to comply with, the concern shop owner license will be cancelled, the release stated. All the village council and students unions are endorsed to enforce this order with strict compliance.
Meanwhile, the meeting also resolved to fix the rates of local grains such as Millet at Rs 100 per tin and Maize/corn at Rs 100 per tin.
Further, the MHSU reminded all its federating units and village councils to maintain cooperation and congenial relationship despite setting up of barricades restricting the movement of public in its own jurisdiction.
