More condole demise of late Kaka D Iralu

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): Condolences poured in from various quarters after the demise of Kaka Dierhekolie Iralu, a prominent author and a leading voice of the Naga political movement, on April 9. In messages, they extended condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
ONA: The Overseas Naga Association (ONA) stated that “Kaka Iralu was a household name among our people on the question of Naga nationalism and his name will go down in our history on that banner.”
“He believed Naga nationhood was a natural God-ordained birthright. Nagas seldom agree on anything, but even those who don’t share his conviction will have no difficulty respecting Kaka’s commitment to the destiny of our people, as he saw it, and the tenacity with which he lived that belief to the end,” stated the Association’s President Dr Visier Sanyü and Secretary General Dr Paul Pimomo.
“A people with as long and tragic and complicated a political history as the Nagas have lived through can argue all we want about what exactly constitutes our collective rights, but there can be no argument about making every good-intentioned effort and sacrifice from any individual and national group count toward a better common future. Kaka did his part and has moved on,” it said.
NGA: The Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) recollected Kaka Iralu as an author, historian and a great orator who could hold his audience spellbound for hours. “His knowledge and his fearless crusade for self determination for the Nagas are stuff which will be etched in history,” it said.
“Fearless, bold and even aggressive in fighting injustice, his passing away will leave a very big gap in the Naga society, NGA President Nobin Pradhan stated in the condolence message.
KIN: Kuki Inpi Nagaland expressed sadness at the demise of “a prominent figure in our society, a writer and a dedicated worker for the nation, Kaka D Iralu.”
“The whole Naga nation mourns the passing of a great son of the soil and we pray that the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” a message from the KIN Media Cell stated.
Tangkhul Naga Long: The Tangkhul Naga Long remembered Kaka as “an orator par excellence who minced no words in defending the political and historical rights of the Nagas.”
A prolific writer whose narratives of the long drawn Indo-Naga political imbroglio inspired many, Kaka “was a true patriot and intellectual of our time who would greatly be missed,” it stated.
CPO: The Chakhroma Public Organization (CPO) in its condolence message stated that “Kaka was a man who was endowed with all such qualities and traits which made him what he was popularly known for- his simplicity, honesty, fearlessness and unwavering conviction in the rights of his beloved Nagas as had been reflected in his books, speeches, interactions etc.”
“In his death, not only his loved ones, but the Nagas as a whole have lost a true patriot and a true son of the soil which may be found irreplaceable for a long time,” stated CPO General Secretary Mhiesisato Vupru.
