
Kohima, February 17 (MExN): The State President Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher Education and Technical Education convened a coordination meeting with the District Presidents at his official residence, Kohima on February 16. The meeting was attended by all the District Presidents, District Presidents, State General Secretaries Jaangsillung Gonmei and Kavili Achumi, State Treasurer Mahesh Kotecha, Spokesperson Lanuakum Ao and State IT Convenor Pronoy Boruah. The meeting commenced with a prayer by the Tuensang District President T. Chongsen, a press release informed.
The meeting deliberated on various topics and the following resolutions were passed. The District Presidents reiterated its support to the PDA government and resolved to be committed to the strengthening of the PDA government to bring about rapid all-round development in the state.
The District Presidents re-affirmed their support on the leaderships of the BLP leader Y. Patton, Deputy Chief Minister of the 13th Legislative Assembly, the State President Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher Education and Technical Education and all the party Ministers and Advisors with confidence, that they shall take the party to new heights and ensure the welfare of the party workers.
The District Presidents beseeched the BJP Ministers and Advisors to work unitedly and collectively for the development and prosperity of all the Naga people.
The District Presidents acknowledged the efforts of the PDA government under the leaderships of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton for vigorously undertaking major development works and bringing progress in the state and reviving the hopes of the Naga people.
The meeting appointed the Acting District President of Peren, Tingsangai John Panmei as the President of District Peren w.e.f February 16. The State President reaffirmed the tenure of all the District Presidents as on February 16 to be coterminous with the tenure of the State President.
The meeting condemned the terrorist attack on Security forces in Pulwama, J&K and demanded immediate and stringent actions on the inhuman perpetrators. This was informed in a press release by Jaangsillung Gonmei, State General Secretary, BJP Nagaland.
