
• 4 more samples sent for testing, no cases so far

KOHIMA, APRIL 12 (MExN): Four more suspected COVID-19 samples have been sent for testing from the State for Nagaland, and results for the same were awaited as of 5:00pm of April 12.
This takes the total number of samples sent for testing to 74. It may be noted that 70 samples have tested negative so far.
Addressing the daily briefing of the Nagaland State Government today, Principal Secretary for Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that the total number of persons who are presently under home quarantine is 407, and 28 are under facility quarantine. The number of persons who are out of home quarantine now is 5,459.
He meanwhile appealed to anyone who is under quarantine or has come out of quarantine to contact the State helpline numbers of the Health Department immediately if they develop any signs and symptoms of cough, fever or difficulty in breathing. The State helpline numbers are: 9856071745 and 7005539653.
He further assured that the position of availability of essential commodities and goods continues to be comfortable in the State.
The Principal Secretary also informed that all the schools, colleges, universities, all types of educational institutions, coaching, tuition classes etc. which are presently closed under lockdown, shall continue to remain closed throughout the State of Nagaland till further orders.
With regard to the resumption of Civil Secretariat and the Directorates at Kohima and Dimapur, with skeletal staff strength, the Chief Secretary has convened a meeting of AHODs and HODs at 11:00am, April 13 in the Secretariat Conference Hall to work out details for ensuring basic functioning of offices and to prepare the list of officers and staff who will be performing duties.
Sinha informed that all other Government servants are to remain in their respective homes for April 13 and await further instructions from the concerned AHOD/HOD.
The Principal Secretary thanked everyone for their continued support and adherence to the lock down provisions, and concluded by extending Easter greetings to the people of the State.
