Nagaland govt caught unprepared: JDU Nagaland

DIMAPUR, APRIL 16 (MExN): The Janata Dal (U) Nagaland has expressed concern that the Nagaland Government has been “somewhat caught unprepared” in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.  A press release from the JDU in April 15 felt that “the situation calls for all political and social organisations to rise above all levels of negativities and put their heads together to overcome the present crisis.”

“All hearts must be filled with intention to solve the issue at hand and leave the irregularities and shortcomings aftermath the pandemic. There should be no qualm topenalise those guiltyif anyone is found to be ‘fishing over trouble waters'but that can wait for now. What matters at the moment is to save ourselves from this pandemic,” it asserted. The JDU Nagaland further appeals to all to empathise with the frontline workers.

“Hate the disease not the infected people, be gentle in our guard against the imposition of the lockdown our respective villages, colonies and localities, stay home patiently, contribute whatever is possible to ameliorate the suffering of affected poor and downtrodden people. Let us all try to bring out the true Christian spirit during these extraordinary times,” it urged.
