Phek, September 24 (MExN): A health campaign, Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar (SNSPA), is underway across Phek district, aiming on improving the health and nutrition of women and children.
Launched on September 17, the campaign will run until October 2, and is being conducted at the District Hospital and all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) at the Sub-Centre (SC), Primary Health Centre (PHC), and Community Health Centre (CHC) levels.
The initiative provides a range of daily services to the community, including screening women for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Tuberculosis (TB), anaemia screening, Ante-Natal Care (ANC), immunization services, Information, Education & Communication (IEC) activities, and AYUSH services.
All vertical health programmes, including the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), are participating in the campaign by conducting daily SNSPA activities. The campaign will cover all 60 health units in the district.
MOKOKCHUNG: The Department of Health & Family Welfare in Mokokchung is participating in the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) health campaign from September 17 to October 2.

Services offered at the 36 health units across the district include screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), oral and dental health services, ENT and eye check-ups, paediatric care, maternal and child health services, Ayurveda consultations, immunization, and awareness programs for behavioural change.
The district’s Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team is also conducting rigorous screening drives in government schools and Anganwadi centres as part of the campaign.
ASHAs and AWWs have been instrumental in mobilizing communities and guiding patients to health centres during the ongoing campaign.

KOHIMA: Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Kohima conducted Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan Special Camp at Sechu-Zubza PHC on September 24.
The Special camp provided services under all vertical programmes – including Anemia and adolescent health screening for school children under the PHC jurisdiction, ANC screening, immunization, screening for non-communicable (NCD) diseases, tuberculosis, vector borne diseases.
The special camp also provided DISHA counseling and mental health support with free distribution of medicines for the patient.
A total of 171 patients received services with free laboratory investigation included – ANC check-up, ultrasound, X-Ray, Hb test, TB and HIV test etc and free distribution of IEC materials at the special camp. The camp was led by Dr Petekuolie Yhome, MO (I/C), Dr Ayo Thao, Obs & Gynae Viswema CHC, Staff of Sechu PHC and other vertical program staff.
