Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): The Dimapur Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (DBPF) while welcoming the new change has expressed appreciation to the citizens of Dimapur for cooperation on the total shutter-down of shops and closure of makeshift bazaars on Sundays in Dimapur. DBPF in a press release said it was a concern for the "believers in the Christendom state of Nagaland". To avoid selling and buying on Sunday also confirmed the dictate of the Bible, “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it Holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath to the Lord your God” (Exodus 20:8-10a). The DBPF further encouraged everyone to live accordingly to this principle of faith “which might seem to be an insignificant concern yet can destroy the individual, the Church and the society in the long run.”
