
Wholesale market shifted to Naga Shopping Arcade
Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The existing vegetables and fruits wholesale market of Murgi Patti will be shifted to Naga Shopping Arcade (Super Market) for its operation w.e.f April 18 from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon, mandatorily keeping social distance as per norms of COVID-19. This was informed by the DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi in view of the sealing of Marwari Patti, Murgi Patti and GS Road as a containment measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
NELB extends validity of licenses
Kohima, April 17 (MExN): In view of the restrictions due to the pandemic (COVID-19), the Electrical Wireman Permit, Supervisor Certificate and Contractor licenses issued by the Nagaland Electrical Licensing Board (NELB) whose validities are expiring on March 31, 2020 have been extended till June 30, 2020. This was informed in a press release by Er TK Halder, Senior Electrical Inspector, Nagaland, Kohima on April 17.
NCD informs public on burials at Naga Cemetery
DIMAPUR, APRIL 17 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has issued a public notice regarding burial at Naga Cemetery, Lake View Colony. The NCD informed the public to adhere to several measures for burial at the Naga Cemetery. The measures include production of death certificate indicating nature and cause of death of the person; only two vehicles with limited number of persons will be allowed for burial at the cemetery; compulsory wearing of face masks; and all persons attending the funeral to maintain social distance. NLA Speaker condoles
Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer mourned the demise of former MLA Rev Lhousuohie Angami who passed away on April 15 in Kohima and said his death has caused a great loss to the Nagas. A condolence message from the Speaker stated that Rev Lhousuohie was a humble and dedicated man who worked diligently for the welfare and upliftment of his constituency as well as the people of Nagaland. “His death has caused a great loss to the Nagas in general and the Angami community in particular and the void created by him will be difficult to fill,” the message stated. Extending condolences on behalf of the members of the 3th Nagaland legislative Assembly, Longkumer prayed for comfort for the bereaved and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
