Lockdown measures remain in force under Bhandari

Bhandari, April 21 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhandari, Tiameren Chang NCS, on April 20 issued an order stating that lockdown measures shall remain in force under Bhandari Sub-division, Wokha district up to May 3 to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the sub-division. The order, coming into immediate effect, stated that as a matter of abundant caution, the total lockdown conditions and sealing of inter-state border under Bhandari sub-division shall continue to be imposed. Inter-state movement of vehicles and individuals will not be allowed and all vehicular movement of non-essential nature is prohibited and no private or commercial vehicles will be allowed to carry passengers, it further stated.

 

NDRF sanitization drive in CM House

Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The 12th Bn NDRF, Doimukh (Arunachal Pradesh) carried out a mass area sanitization drive by one sub-team under command of Sub Inspector KP Singh at CM House, Kohima. Sub-Inspector, KP Singh said with the help of jet spray machines, the team sprayed out disinfectant consisting of Sodium Hypochlorite into the surrounding areas of CM House Kohima in connection with COVID-19. “Rescuers of 12 Battalion NDRF are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment including biological suit, N-95 face mask, gloves, eye protection, shoes cover as well as Medical First Responder kits to assist district authority and state medical teams,” he said.

 

NIDA supports demand for justice

Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The Nagaland In-Service Doctor Association (NIDA) has expressed utter resentment against the incident on April 17, where a group of Police personnel on duty assaulted Dr Mongshithung. “This incident has happened barely a month after a similar attack on a doctor at Dimapur,” NIDA, President, Dr Ritu Thurr stated in a condemnation note. The NIDA has solicited public support on the event of a state wide cease-work strike should such a despicable incident recur on any medical staff in future. The NIDA has also pledged full support on the demand for justice issued by IDA, IMA, and NADA.

 

Wokha HoDs directed to obtain clearance

Wokha, April 21 (MExN): In view of the total lockdown due to COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force for COVID-19 Wokha Orenthung Lotha has directed all the Head of Offices under Wokha district presently not in the district headquarter are informed to obtain necessary clearance from the DC Wokha to proceed to the station for duty.
