AHODs and HODs meeting on April 18
Kohima, April 15 (DIPR): A meeting of the Administrative Heads of Department (AHODs) and Heads of Department (HODs) will be held on April 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima as informed by Nagaland Chief Secretary, Pankaj Kumar, IAS. All AHODs and HODs has been informed to attend the meeting positively. The meeting will discuss agenda such as review of the minutes of AHODs and HODs meeting held on 19/2/2016, Nagaland Rural Bank- Role of State Government, Representation from NFGS, State function/Assembly Session (Attendance of AHODs & HODs), Change dispensation under the NITI AAYOG raised by the Commissioner & Secretary DUDA, Launched of “the Ambassador of Girl Child” under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP).
Career & soft skill seminar by WYSU
Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): Western Yimchunger Students’ Union (WYSU) has informed all the Yimchungru students and youth in and around Kohima and Dimapur that WYSU will be organizing career oriented seminar and skill development programme at Yimchunger Baptist Church Dimapur (YBCD) on April 23 at 9:30 am. There will be separate seminar and orientation programme for skill development course and professional course on April 23, WYSU informed in a press release. Mock drill exercise at Zunheboto
Zunheboto, April 15 (DIPR): National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Battalion under NSDMA will be conducting a Mock Drill Exercise at Zunheboto on April 18 at 12:00 noon at Town Hall. In this regard, SDO (C), Zunheboto, Hollohon Yepthomi has asked all Government Employees, NGOs and School Representatives to be present during the Mock Drill.
KODH 43rd foundation day on April 16
Kohima, April 15 (MExN): The Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) will observe its 43rd foundation day on April 16 at 1.30 pm the KODH, five km from state capital. This would be the first time the KODH would be observing the day without their Founder and president KODH Ama Zaputuo-ü Angami who died on March 24, 2011. She was 89. Lt. Zaputuoü Angami with her commitment started the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home in 1973 and running this home for 38 years till her demise. Last year the KODH did not observe due to the demise of their founder. The KODH has appealed to all well-wishers and all to attend the foundation day and also extended gratitude to all the well-wishers for helping the KODH in both kind and cash.
KVYO new team to take over
Kohima, April 15 (MExN): The Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) has elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016 to 2018. Swearing-in ceremony of the new team will take place on April 15, 5:00 pm at KVC Hall, Kohima Village. Nomenclature of ‘Changkikong’ changed to ‘Jangpetkong’
Mokokchung, April 15 (DIPR): The nomenclature of ‘Changkikong Senso Mundang’ has been changed to ‘Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang. President, Nungsangtoshi and the General Secretary, J. Chubatoshi said a resolution to this effect was adopted in its 72nd General conference held on February 5 and 6, 2016 at Waromong village, Mokokchung district. The two leaders said, henceforth Changkikong Senso Mundang will now be called and used as Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang in all references and correspondence from the date of issue of this notification.
SD Jain student wins
in national essay contest
Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): Poonam Kumari Gupta, a Class 12 Commerce student of SD Jain Higher Secondary School, Dimapur has secured second position in a national level essay competition for High School and Higher Secondary students organized by Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) and United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC). A press release from Principal of SD Jain Higher Secondary School informed that Poonam has been felicitated with a citation certificate and silver medal by the organizers. The Principal Reji Abraham lauded her for the exceptional achievement, while stating that it is a proud moment for the school and her feat will motivate many other students of the school to take part in similar competitions in future.
Zbto town to celebrate ‘Melange 2016’
Zunheboto, April 15 (DIPR): Zunheboto town will be celebrating 'Melange 2016' under the theme 'Being Sumi' from April 21 to 23. The festival is organized by Zunheboto Town Youth Organisation (ZTYO) and will participate by residents across 11 Colonies in Zunheboto. The program will witness competition among colonies in various activities during the 3 daylong celebrations. Penalty Shoot Out, Badminton, Table Tennis, Half Marathon, Relay Race, Traditional Couple Show, Tug of war, Spear Kicking, Greased Pole Climbing, Yodelling, Traditional Cart Racing, Poetry Recitation, Quiz, Essay Writing, Painting, Debate, Photography and Videography are some of the events to mark the celebration.
Youth revival crusade at Tsg
Tuensang, April 15 (MExN): The International Evangelistic Fellowship Tuensang in collaboration with the Youth Front of Tuensang Town will be organising a youth revival crusade at Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong from April 19 to 21. Lima Imsong, missionary will be the main speaker and the IEF Singers (The Grace Band) will lead the praise and worship and also present special songs. The IEF Tuensang has invited all young people from all churches in Tuensang Town to attend the crusade.
