Nagaland: News in picture

Barely a month after its opening, most decorative trees planted alongside the ‘vertical garden’ near the Dhansiri Bridge and Urban Haat, Dimapur, are seen withered on July 7, possibly due to inadequate maintenance evident from the surrounding weeds. Described as a much-needed aesthetic facelift to ‘dull cityscapes,’ the garden was opened to the public on May 29. Since the inauguration, however, the garden has been attracting a fair share of visitors, primarily drawn by photo opportunities and selfies with the 'I Love Dimapur' landmark resembling a musical instrument.
