Geological Survey of India, Dimapur Office on occasion of ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek sath’ under the banner of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 carried out a cleanliness drive along NH-129, Riverbelt colony, Dimapur.
Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Nagaland conducted a statewide cleanliness drive as part of the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2025’ campaign on September 25. The initiative, observed under the theme ‘Swachhotsav’, aligns with the ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ call to action, which urges citizens to contribute one hour of voluntary service for cleanliness. A state-level event was held in and around the PHED Directorate in Kohima. The drive was undertaken to promote cleanliness and reinforce the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a hygienic and sustainable environment.
District Health Society, Peren conducted a health camp under the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ at the Primary Health Centre in Heningkunglwa on September 24. The camp provided comprehensive services, including screenings for anemia, non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, and cervical cancer, alongside immunisation and antenatal check-ups. A total of 72 patients received free medical services, medicines, and diagnostic tests such as X-rays and lab investigations for HIV, hemoglobin, and other conditions. The initiative, which also featured mental health counselling and focus group discussions, was led by Medical Officer Dr. Rongsenangla and a team of nurses, lab technicians, and ASHA workers.
‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ (SNSPA), launched on September 17 as part of a national vision for women’s health empowerment, is being implemented through health camps, Mobile Medical Units, and the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) across Phek district. Medical teams comprising doctors, nurses, Community Health Officers, and other healthcare workers are conducting the outreach, particularly in far-flung villages, to ensure no one is left behind, a health department official said. Key services provided include antenatal and postnatal care, screening for non-communicable diseases, health education, and vaccination. The campaign will continue its activities until October 2.
