Fire personnel fighting jungle fire at Nagaland University Campus Meriema, Kohima on April 9. On receiving jungle fire call around 1:15pm on April 9 at Nagaland University Campus, Meriema, Kohima, Fire & Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Kohima North and pressed into action to control the fire which was spreading fast towards university boys hostel and staff quarters, few stretches of jungle were destroyed in the fire incident. Timely intervention of fire personnel managed to put the fire under control and prevented from further spreading to the adjoining areas. No casualty was reported. The response team was led by OC Neiketou Sopfu and Duty Commander ASI Neitho-o Keditsu.
