DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): In the last match of the ongoing BCCI women under-19 trophy for NE and Bihar played at Dhanbad, the Nagaland women team defeated Meghalaya by 132 runs and created history by qualifying for the U-19 Women Super League.
This is the first time that the Nagaland women’s team is playing in a BCCI tournament. The team is returning home tomorrow for a short break before they move to Hyderabad to play the Women’s Super League from November 16 to 30. The Nagaland team won against Manipur, Sikkim, Arunachal and Meghalaya but lost narrowly to Bihar. Top two teams of the tournament qualified for the super league.
