NCD appeals CM to continue travel restrictions

DIMAPUR, APRIL 13 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appealed to the Nagaland Chief Minister continue restricting movements of all modes of passenger trains, flights and vehicles passing through Dimapur.

In a letter to the CM, the NCD further expressed concern at the lack of a COVID-19 texting facility in the State. “Given that Dimapur is the entry point and commercial town of Nagaland, we would like to seek your intervention in setting up a COVID-10 testing laboratory in Dimapur at the earliest,” it appealed.

It further urged for provision of safety and protective equipment to all frontline medical staff and police personnel in sufficient quantity.

The NCD meanwhile urged the CM to ensure that financial assistance and sufficient supply of disinfectant is made available to the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) which has been instrumental in sanitising the town areas.
