Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) on Sunday appealed the citizens of Dimapur to comply with directives being issued by the state government and district administration and cooperate with each other.
Taking into account that shops dealing in essential commodities and vegetables will be opened starting April 6, the NCD urge the public to buy their commodities only from their respective colonies or village shops and maintain social distancing protocols while shopping.
“The people of Dimapur are not the only ones who are experiencing this lockdown and it is in the interest of all that we all cooperate with each other and understand the bigger purpose, that is to tackle the spread of COVID-19,” the Council stated.
In reference to the April 3 incident where a doctor was allegedly assaulted by Special Task Force personnel, the NCD expressed hope that such untoward incidents will not occur again.
Further, it appreciated the hard work and sacrifices discharged by the medical fraternity and police personnel during this unprecedented and unsettling period.
