NDPP Wokha Region workers asked to strengthen party

Wokha, January 18 (MExN): The Wokha region National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) held its get together-cum-consultative meeting on January 16 at Longjung village under Wokha district.

According to a press release from the Media Cell, NDPP Wokha Region, on Monday, the party inducted new office bearers for Wokha region during the meeting which was attended by President, Agri & Allied NDPP Tali Pongen; General Secretary NDPP and convener in-charge of Wokha region TL Merry, and Secretary NDPP Nagaland and CEB Member Wokha region L Meribemo Kinghen.

As per the release, TL Merry called on the newly inducted office bearers and senior party workers in the district to work tirelessly to strengthen the party.

Tali Pongen addressed the party workers and advised them to gather more ideas from the grassroots level in order to gain larger support to strengthen the party. He also assured to extend support towards party workers in the agri-allied sector and encouraged them to be leaders of masses.

According to the release, L Meribemo Kinghen shared his experiences in the political field and told the party workers in the region to collect ideas and contribute towards uplifting the party towards excellence. He also advised leaders of various wings in the district to work collectively to bring more members in the party.

The NDPP Wokha Region meanwhile reaffirmed their ‘unflinching support’ to the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and PDA Chairperson Chingwang Konyak, who is also the party President while extending gratitude to  Advisor Horticulture and Border Affairs Mhathung Yanthan and NDPP Vice President YM Humtsoe for their assistance towards the success of the programme.
