
DC Longleng directs VCCs
Longleng, April 11 (MExN): As precautionary measures to contain and control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the district the Deputy Commissioner Longleng has directed all the village council chairman and ward presidents of Longleng and Tamlu to immediately report in case of any unusual increase in fever, cough and shortness of breath within their respective jurisdiction to the mobile number 8874454483 and 8974382925 for the rapid response from the district surveillance unit of the department of Health & Family Welfare, Longleng.
DoSE reaches out to parents
Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): District authorities have been requested to send in details of parents or family members who are unable to send funds to their children/family members from Nagaland in other parts of the country because of movement restrictions or inability to access banking facilities etc.
A circular from Principal Director, School Education Shanavas C on Saturday requested details of those persons and stated that the purpose of putting in place such a mechanism to facilitate the parents/family to send money to their children/family members.
As such, the Principal Director requested that the name and contact number of person, name and contact number of parent/family and residential address of parent/family be forwarded via WhatsApp or email informally in piecemeal or otherwise on day to day basis.
NDMA conducts medical camp at DDSC
Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): The Executive Committee of Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) organised a Medical Camp for the persons who are quarantined at the DDSC stadium.
The Medical Camp was held with the help of District Administration and Dr DR Sharma, Dr Nitin Agrawal and Dr Sundar Pareek, a press release from the Association informed.
While assuring the District Administration of their availability in times to come, the NMDA has suggested for regular cleaning and washing of the Quarantine Centres since a lot of patients were found infected with skin infection, it stated.
The NMDA also distributed face mask, hand gloves and medicated soaps to the volunteers and quarantined persons.
NSCN (IM) appeals on price rate
Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): The Union Territory (UT), NSCN (IM) on Saturday urged all traders, wholesalers, retailers of essential commodities to strictly follow the prices fixed by the concerned authority. A press release from the John M Yim, Secretary, UT stated that it had “taken a serious view of the alleged price rise in essential commodities during this lockdown period in Dimapur district.” As such, it cautioned all traders/wholesalers/retailers of essential commodities to strictly follow the prices fixed by the concerned authority, in the interest of the general public. The manipulation of prices taking undue advantage of the lockdown enforced due to COVID-19 pandemic shall be dealt sternly, it warned.
